Local Eco-Accounts to Follow
Want to boost your awareness of the environment in Hong Kong? Here are a few (but not limited to) Instagram accounts to follow and keep up.
Eco-Drive HK @ecodrivehk

Eco-Drive HK is well-known local non-profit organisation that encourages the reduction of single-use plastics! They post tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint in your everyday activities, including news and milestones of what Hong Kong has achieved 🥳They even had a bunch of Hong Kong stars in on their projects; there’s definitely a few faces you’d recognise!
Green is the New Black @greenisthenewblackcom

An Asian community that tries to make sustainability hip 🤙🏼😜They combine the issues surrounding youth and sustainability together, creating content that is both visually appealing and incredibly in-depth! Their first ever virtual conscious festival is held between 12-14 June, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us! #sustainabilityissexy😉😉
Earthero Project @eartheroproject

This blogger documents her journey to leading a healthier lifestyle day-by-day, and after following her for many months, its almost like looking at a diary filled with so much character development 🦋— who wouldn’t love that kind of story? 😍😍She reminds us that as Hong Kong individuals, we do have the power to change how we live bit by bit to save our planet 🌎✨
Fridays for Future @fridaysforfuturehongkong

Our version of @gretathunberg, no joke — even Greta herself follows him! Lance Lau hin-yi is ten years old, and just like Greta, he has been organising climate strikes in Hong Kong every Friday 🤩🤩 On Fridays he dedicates his strikes to different global environmental issues, from deforestation to heritage preservation, highlighting many issues that we may not be aware of 🤗 Kudos to Lance, we can all do better! 💪🏼
